Utilize your psychology expertise and become a Licensed Psychologist Manager! The Department of Corrections (DOC) is seeking a highly motivated person to join our dynamic psychology department. State Correctional Institution (SCI) at Benner Township is a newer addition to DOC that is designated as a mental health stability facility. As a Licensed Psychologist Manager for DOC, you will be responsible for the planning, organizing, and directing of the psychological services program for SCI Benner Township. In this position, you will develop and write new policies and procedures for existing programs, consult with psychiatry and medical staff, and perform psychological testing and evaluation of inmates. Additionally, you will participate as a standing member of the clinical review team for suicides and attempted suicides and serve as a chairperson for the population psychiatric review team. You can also expect to supervise the subordinate psychological staff in the psychiatric screenings of inmates and the care the staff provides to the inmates.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

• Full-time employment, 37.5 hours per week
• Work hours are 7:30 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
• This position is eligible for full retirement benefits at age 50 or 55.
• Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable. Please Note: Selected candidates who are new to employment within the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will begin employment at the starting annual salary of $84,597.00 (before taxes).

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

• One year as a Licensed Psychologist MH or Psychologist; or
• One year of experience as a licensed professional psychologist in the treatment of inmates or individuals with mental illness, mental retardation or behavioral dysfunction.

Special Requirements:

• You must possess a valid license to practice psychology as issued by the Pennsylvania State Board of Psychology or a valid license to practice psychology as issued by another state with licensure requirements acceptable to the Board. Applicants with out-of-state licensure must obtain Pennsylvania licensure within one year of employment.

Other Requirements:

• PA residency requirement is currently waived for this title.
  
• You must be able to perform essential job functions.
