Huntsman is seeking a Production Operator Trainee supporting the Advanced Materials Division located in Harrison City, PA. This position will report to the Shift Supervisor.

Job Scope

The Utility trainee position is to work hand in hand with Operators, Maintenance Personnel and Shipper to complete tasks that maximize the production, maintenance, and shipping of the Harrison City facility.

The ability to learn and understand operating procedures is integral part of this position.

As the Production Operator Trainee, you will:

General:

* Receive oral and/or written assignments from group leader or supervisor.

* Read, review, and understand operating procedures.

* Learn the set up and operational procedures associated with thinning tank operations.

* Learn how to perform necessary calculations and summarize production data as required.

* Maintain equipment, tools, and work area in clean and orderly manner.

* Able to organize, sort, and put away raw materials.

* Be conscience of the safety standards required in the area in which you are working and be able to communicate concerns.

* Perform housekeeping activities during down time in production, shipping, or maintenance.

* Additional duties assigned by Supervisor or Manager

Communication:

* Ability to communicate and share concerns with group leader and supervisor.

* Ability to communicate with all departments within organization.

* Precise and consistent usage of company software systems.

Training:

* Complete all appropriate required training materials as required.

* Attend all required training classes/meetings.

Required Qualifications:

You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.

The candidate must have an unrestricted right to work for Huntsman in the United States.

* High School diploma or equivalent.
* Must have basic computer skills.
* Adherence to company and site-specific policies.
* Demonstrated ability to make sound judgments and decisions, while staying organized.
* The ability to work safely with chemicals is a requirement.
* Abides by all safety rules and procedures


Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:


* Ability to multitask and communicate in a fast-paced environment.
* Ability to work a flexible schedule - Overtime as required.
* Ability to improve and positively impact workplace for all operations for which they engage.
* Able to learn how to use a forklift.
* Experience working within a manufacturing/distribution facility.
* Organizational skills are required.
* Ability to work independently to achieve goals established by group leader and supervisor.


Working Conditions/Physical Requirements:


* This position requires the Operator Trainee to be able to work in extreme weather conditions.
* Must be clean shaven and have the ability to wear a respirator for extended periods.
* Must have the ability to enter vessels for cleaning purposes.
* Must have the ability to lift 50 lbs.
* Must have the ability to climb ladders and stairs on a regular basis.
* Must have the ability to walk, stand, bend, and reach as required
