Sr Systems Architect, Full Time, Easton PA

GENERAL SUMMARY:

The Sr. Systems Architect role is to analyze, design, test, implement, maintain, and document assigned IT Services and related components, to achieve high availability, security, and performance of the various business applications supported. This includes designing, installing, configuring, administering, and fine-tuning the technology supporting these services. Assigned IT Services may include VMWare, Windows and Linux servers, EMC Storage environments, and cloud environments such as AWS and Azure.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lead, coordinate, and participate in key process improvements for assigned IT services.
  • Develop and execute on a three year roadmap for each assigned IT service.
  • Drive high-availability to meet inter-company SLA's. Provide statistics and reports.
  • Assist with vulnerabilities management and driving down vulnerabilities to minimize risk scores.
  • Coordinate with network engineering, business application, and database administration functions to ensure availability, reliability, and scalability of IT services to meet corporate objectives.
  • Ensure that all aspect of IT services comply with established policies, standards, licensing agreements, and configuration guidelines.
  • Recommend and execute modifications in order to improve efficiency, reliability, and performance.
  • Establish and implement policies, procedures, and technologies to ensure system security following NIST guidelines.
  • Participate in the development of SOP and governance documents for both internal and external audiences.
  • Participate in Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity activities to support business.

JOB SPECIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree in related field with 8 years of systems architecture experience
  • Required work experience with Systems, Storage, VMware, Linux, O365, and Windows Server.
  • Preferred experience with SAP both on-prem in in-cloud
  • Familiarity working in an ITIL environment.
  • Strong troubleshooting experience with DNS, TCP/IP, Group Policy and Active Directory.
  • Strong documentation skills, utilizing Visio, Excel, Word etc.
  • Ability to follow established work flows around change management and documentation.
  • Familiarity with various network protocols, firewall management, and database administration.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to present ideas in business-friendly and user-friendly language.
  • Highly self motivated and directed.
  • Keen attention to detail.
  • Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.
  • Strong customer service orientation.
  • Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
  • Participate in on-call rotation for afterhours support.
