Description

We are seeking a Project Manager to work at our client site in Philadelphia, PA! The Project Manager will provide overall management and direction for the planning, design, and construction, from conception through completion, of building development projects including new construction, additions, and renovations.

Essential Functions:

  • Oversee the administration of design documents for architectural/engineering building projects including new construction, additions, and renovations.

  • Thorough understanding of industry practices, processes, standards, etc. and their impact on project activities.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of permitting architectural/engineering projects through federal, state, and local Building and Zoning Departments.
  • Experience in cost estimation, design administration and construction administration and demonstrated ability to successfully conduct job progress meetings with clients, consultants, and contractors.
  • Experience initiating and maintaining liaison with prime client, A/E contacts, contractors, and regulatory authorities to assist design and construction activities.
  • Experience monitoring/controlling design through administrative direction of prime A/E(s) to ensure project is designed on schedule and within budget.
  • Experience monitoring/controlling construction through administrative direction of prime contractor(s) to ensure projects are built on schedule and within budget.
  • Experience representing the owner, client, and company in project meetings.
  • Experience preparing and reviewing interim and completed project reports.
  • Ability to convey project results and findings by means of oral discussions, presentations, and project documentation.
  • Ability to ensure consultants and contractors meet and comply with all quality, safety and industry standards, procedures, and requirements.

  • Professional demeanor.
  • Ability to communicate with team members on task and projects.
Qualifications

Education/Experience Minimum:

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction, Engineering, or Architecture
  • Professional license preferred but not required.
  • 5 to 15 years of experience/knowledge of design, construction and management required.
  • Preferred experience: airport terminal buildings, airport terminal facilities and systems at a medium and/or large air carrier airport, and transit stations and facilities.

Needed Skills:

  • Strong Professional, Technical, Communication, and Leadership skills needed.
  • Strong written and verbal communications skills.
  • Ability to create and maintain productive relationships with employees, clients, and vendors.
