As a Clerical Assistant 3, you will provide clerical support for the SERS Defined Benefit Pension Plan administered directly by SERS and for the SERS Deferred Compensation and Defined Contribution Plans administered for SERS by Empower. You will answer and route telephone calls; greet and assist customers; receive, print, and distribute incoming and outgoing correspondence in both hard copy and electronic formats; receive and route correspondence from fax, US mail, and interoffice mail; scan and index documents; and use various electronic data base files. Excellent communication skills are vital, as you will tend to internal and external customer service inquiries pertaining to questions from SERS customers involving demographic, federal withholding, and direct deposit changes as well as annuity payments.
