As a Cook 1, you will be responsible for the food preparation at the center. You will be assigned to work in one of the following areas: the main kitchen, ingredient rooms, meat thaw and preparation, or as a general cook. Cooks in the main kitchen prepare and distribute a variety of foods for menus and special events. Ingredient room cooks prepare ingredients in advance of each day's production and maintain inventory of the center's storeroom. Meat thaw and preparation cooks prepare meat for cooking using established thawing methods and also maintain inventory. The general cooks ensure that all equipment is in proper condition and cleaning procedures are being followed.
