The RoleWe are seeking a highly motivated process modeling engineer to develop innovative solutions for renewable energy and environmental sustainability. The position requires a willingness and ability to design and develop new technologies for renewable energy and environmental sustainability using Aspen tools such as Aspen Plus, ACM, HYSYS, PIMS, and others. Successful candidates will be a critical member of our development team and work with various business units to define and develop these technologies to support AspenTech customer with sustainable and environmentally friendly solution.

Your Impact
  • Design and develop renewable energy technologies, by using Aspen's existing solutions.
  • Write use cases, documentations and provide support to customer for renewable energy and environmental solutions.
  • Apply life cycle assessment and techno-economic analysis to various technologies in sustainability area such as circular economy, hydrogen economy, etc.
  • Interact with other group members, lead discussions and supervise junior members.
  • Interact with universities to implement latest renewable energy and environmental sustainability technologies.

What You'll Need
  • Ph.D degree in Chemical Engineering, Environment Engineering/Science or related field required.
  • Minimum of 5 years work experience in energy, chemical process industry, with emphasis of renewable energy and environmental sustainability, hydrogen production, environmental KPI development.
  • Having knowledge of latest renewable energy technologies and emerging sustainability trends.
  • Fluent in simulators such as Aspen Plus, ACM, HYSYS, with customer Fortran coding.
  • Strong coding and analytical skills.
  • Familiar with life cycle assessment and techno-economic analysis.
  • Intellectual curiosity with a passion to explore a vast array of problems and applications both within and outside of their area of specialization.
  • Must possess good oral communication skills, a good comprehension of written material.
