Utz Quality Foods is seeking a Sr. Manager, Collections in Hanover, PA. The Sr Manager, Collections is responsible for overseeing the daily collections activities including planning, organizing, managing, and measuring the collections activities as well as training, coaching, and developing the Team Leads and Collection Specialists to improve the overall collections process.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead, organize, and coach other members of the collections department to achieve goals of the department.
• Develop, maintain, and distribute reporting for the AR team to monitor KPIs (i.e. Dales Sales Outstanding, Days to Collect trends, excessive aging, etc.) that align with the overall strategy of the organization.
• Develop relationships with cross functional teams in Sales, Distribution, Transportation, Finance, etc. and gain a deep understanding of their processes to identify quick wins and drive continuous process improvement for the collections process.
• Develop positive relationships with the customers to assist with the negotiation of payments and payment schedules with customers.
• Establish and manage process for timely and accurate dispute management and ultimate chargeback to carriers or route sales professionals.
• Develop expertise in various data management systems, including the ERP, transportation management system, DSD sales system, cash application and collections system, trade promotion system, and PowerBI.
• Develop and document process improvements for more efficient and effective invoicing to cash activities.
• Provide direction to Team Leads and Collections Specialists to identify and resolve issues such as past due accounts and quantity-related disputes and deductions taken by customers.
• Provide direction to Team Leads to identify and implement work plans to monitor and achieve performance metrics across the collections department.
• Complete other duties as assigned that will impact and support the overall outcome of the company and department objectives.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or Business is preferred.
• Supervisory experience required.
• 10+ years of experience in credit and collections.
• Proficient in Microsoft programs including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• General understanding of the business operations related to the snack food industry.
• General understanding of accounting principles, statements, and reports.
• Time management and organizational skills.
• Analytical, business process, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and work in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to maintain a high level of professionalism and confidentiality.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
