Job Summary:

The Business Process Management Team sits within the Business Transformation Office (BTO). The BTO is comprised of 2 pillars: Program/Project Management Office and the Enablement and Optimization Hub consisting of the Change Management, Product Enablement, Business Process Management and Transformation Management.

The Director of Business Process Management will support the Link business by analyzing current operational processes, identifying improvements that result in greater operational efficiencies, and implementing improved processes that lend to greater employee and customer satisfaction, while reducing costs or cycle times of current execution.

The primary responsibility will be to ensure that critical business operations projects are well planned, coordinated cross-departmentally, and delivered on time. This is a people leader role that reports to the Vice President of Enablement & Optimization. The Director of Business Process Management will play a key role in driving operational excellence through effective project management, business process creation, and execution. You will be responsible for developing, implementing, and managing project plans, while working with the rest of the Enablement & Optimization Hub team to maintain comprehensive documentation of process changes.

In addition to supporting business operations projects, the Director of Business Process Management, in partnership with project, transformation & change management peers, will be accountable for fostering a business environment that pushes Link to be an agile, change-ready organization. Additionally, the Director of Business Process Management will define the development, execution and reporting of organizational best practices for leveraging the Business Process Management team across the business.

Functional Leadership

  • Define unit operating model (work intake, fulfillment, and reporting) to facilitate communication among Link leadership team, stakeholders, and departmental management to ensure a clear understanding of any shifts in project expectations or changes in status.
  • Lead business process project managers in the end-to-end project design and implementation for critical business process initiatives, ensuring timely delivery.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally and with department leaders to define project scopes, objectives, and deliverables. Lead the identification and implementation of continuous improvement opportunities in process project management processes, including using project and process management tools.
  • Develop requisite level of understanding of Link's organizational structure and departmental responsibilities so that all necessary stakeholders can provide input and remain informed of next steps.

Process Execution

  • Identify, create, and participate in the implementation of business process improvement strategies aligned with the Link's goals and objectives
  • Identify process inefficiencies, delays, and areas for improvement in existing processes through data analysis and observations
  • Spearhead the optimization of business processes to enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness
  • Collaborate cross-departmentally to analyze current processes, identify pain points, and implement sustainable solutions for process improvement, with an understanding that implementation will be iterative.
  • Monitor, evaluate, and report on process performance, making data-driven recommendations for future optimization.
  • Mitigate risks associated with process changes and compliance with industry regulations and standards
  • Evaluate and implement relevant technologies and tools to streamline and automate processes
  • Other duties as assigned

Documentation Management

  • Establish a process documentation standard to be used across the function, including process governance and version control protocols
  • Ensure that business process team writes clear, concise process documentation that can be easily understood and accessed by Link business departments.
  • Collaborate with the rest of the Enablement & Optimization Hub team to ensure that all processes are well-documented, standardized, and easily accessible to relevant stakeholders.

Qualifications

Required Education & Experience

  • A minimum of 8+ years of experience leading process improvement, business transformation or other related initiatives

  • 3+ years in a people leader role

  • Process Certifications: Lean, Six Sigma Black Belt or greater certification

  • Bachelor's degree; MBA or other related advanced degree preferred

  • 5+ years demonstrated experience in internal operational project or change management

  • Extensive experience using project and process management tools, such as Workfront, Jira, Confluence, Lucid Chart

  • Experience in the real estate industry is a plus, particularly in the Industrial & Logistics sector

  • Embraces diverse people, thinking and styles

  • Domestic travel may be required up to 20%
