Job Description
Almac Group is currently seeking a Security Coordinator for our Souderton, PA location. The Security Coordinator will Support the security programs and related site security operations ensuring a compliant and secure environment for staff, visitors and business operations of the Almac PA sites, including but not limited to Souderton, Audubon and Lansdale PA and Durham NC.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Support the overall continuous operations of the security program by monitoring the outer and inner rings of security at each site. Ensuring a compliant and secure environment for staff, visitors and business operations. Report to line manager potential risks and recommendations for mitigation.
  • Support day to day operations of the contracted security guard force in PA and NC. Reviewing daily tour reports and incident reports. Taking follow up actions as necessary.
  • Support security projects and the relevant service contractors ensuring the responsibilities identified within the service agreements and scope of work are upheld.
  • Monitor security equipment and systems for the Almac PA sites to ensure they are operating efficiently and as designed. Coordinate with service contractors for installation projects, planned and unplanned maintenance of the security, card access and CCTV systems.
  • Support the physical keying systems by ensuring that key control processes are maintained, controlled and accurately documented.
  • Confidentially provide necessary CCTV video or card access records to department heads to support staff or other investigations.
  • Promote Security Awareness best practices and instill a culture of collective and individual responsibility for practicing awareness at all times.
  • Support the emergency services such as the police, fire department, ambulance, etc. and Almac Health and Safety in support of emergency situations.
  • Producing finished documentation such as Reports, Special studies, and Policy and Procedure Documents.
  • Accurately follow and ensure that Almac Facilities staff and contractors adhere to all security related SOPs and complete the associated documentation.
  • Support Human Resources in counseling and separation meetings.
  • Support the completion of physical security risk assessments.
  • Recommend actions to avoid conditions conducive to threats such as vandalism, theft, workplace violence, etc.
  • Provide updates on critical issues to Security manager and/or Company Management.
  • Producing finished documentation such as Reports, Special studies, and Policy and Procedure Documents.
  • Support the management of the security guard personnel ensuring the responsibilities are upheld and that there is clear communication between the guard personnel and Almac operations.
  • Review guard reports and take necessary follow up actions (ex: reports policy violations, hazardous conditions, other unusual or suspicious incident, etc.).
  • Provide training on security and GxP SOPs to contracted security staff and other staff as necessary.
  • Routinely communicate with Durham guard supervisor to stay abreast of current and emerging security concerns. Relaying necessary information to Security Manager.
  • Coordinate with vendors, facilities staff, and management on scope of work and scheduling to support the completion of security projects.
  • Support Facilities projects and coordinate with guard service vendor for necessary personal to support projects.
  • Ensure GxP Documentation for security projects is compliant and completed on time.
  • Conduct initial troubleshooting for any system outages or errors. If problem cannot be resolved coordinate with service contractor for an unplanned service call.
  • Coordinate with service contractors for planned preventative maintenance inspections of security systems.
  • Ensure GxP documentation for security systems and associated equipment maintenance activities is compliant and completed on time.
  • Achieve a thorough understanding of all relevant policies and SOPs within the Company and act as a key trainer for Almac Facilities.
  • Maintain good working relationships within the Company.
  • Any other duties that may be necessary to maintain the integrity of the security systems while maintaining compliancy.
Qualifications:
Required Experience / Education:
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • 3+ year's security experience.
  • Prior experience with access control systems, preferably Continuum and/or CCure 9000.
  • Prior experience with CCTV systems, preferably ExacqVision/or Avigilon.
  • Guard Force Management experience
Preferred Experience / Education:
  • Bachelor's Degree or Professional Certification (APP, CPO) preferred.
  • Training in Physical Security and/or Project Management preferred.
  • Prior experience in a pharmaceutical environment and GxP preferred.
  • Familiar with Intrusion detection systems
  • Understanding of building floorplans (blueprints, as builds, etc.)
  • Project management experience or training
  • Fundamental knowledge of computer networks
