DESCRIPTION OF WORK

As part of our fiscal staff, Fiscal Technicians perform a variety of tasks to assist with the busy day to day operations of the children and youth agency. Some of these tasks include purchasing, expenses, maintaining and running reports, and use of payroll software, as well as maintaining ledgers, journals, and databases. We work in close cooperation with other social service agencies, hospitals, mental health facilities, police, courts, schools, and other community resources in assisting the families. Work Schedule and Additional Information:

  • Limited-term, full-time employment
  • Work hours are 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
  • Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

  • One year as a Fiscal Assistant; or
  • Three years of work involving the maintenance of fiscal or financial records, including one year of responsible work which involves the application of accounting or fiscal principles and practices; and graduation from high school; or
  • One year of experience in maintaining and reviewing fiscal records and an associate degree in accounting or business administration; or
  • Any equivalent combination of experience and training.

Other Requirements:

  • You must be able to perform essential job functions.

Legal Requirements:

  • This position falls under the provisions of the Child Protective Services Law.
    1. Under the Law, a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports including, but not limited to, PA State Police clearance, PA Child Abuse history clearance, and FBI Fingerprint clearance.
