Job Description

Utz Quality Foods is seeking a Warehouse Receiving Lead to join our team of manufacturing professionals at our Broadway facility located in Hanover, PA on the Weekend Day shift. This position will work Friday-Sunday 5:18AM - 5:18PM.

This role is responsible to provide support to ensure optimal flow of the warehouse by leading efforts to receive raw materials, unload materials, and stage raw materials for production. This position requires knowledge of location of supplies and safe forklift driving skills. This candidate must have the ability to obtain and maintain a forklift operator's license and have intermediate math and reading skills.

Key Responsibilities

  • Leads shift in execution of receiving raw materials, unloading materials and staging raw materials for production.
  • Organizes and stages raw materials for production using a scanner to move product from location to location within D365.
  • Unload returns from WDC drivers and outside carriers.
  • Sorts a variety of skids, plastic, used wood, CHEP, and broken skids.
  • Loads outbound trailers for other warehouse locations and completes loading documents.
  • Coordinates trailer movements with National Shipping, WDC & other facilities using personal communication & email.
  • Utilize scanner to move product from warehouse to warehouse location within D365.
  • Assist with moving sorted cartons and bales.
  • Unloads raw material trailers as needed and stages it in the warehouse.
  • Input Raw material information onto license plate & scan into D365 inventory.
  • Warehouses or distributes received items including UPS/ FED.
  • Maintains integrity of product rows, pulls product in proper code rotation.
  • Performs rotation and general housekeeping as needed.
  • Responsible for quality and food safety tasks for their area.
  • Able to obtain a forklift license.
  • Maintain a safe and clean dock.
  • Responsible for ensuring food safety in all actions and responsibilities.
  • Follows food safety practices and all applicable requirements of the SQF System.
  • Follows instructions and training for reporting of food safety problems to appropriate personnel.

Requirements

  • Intermediate math and reading skills
  • Requires knowledge of location of supplies and safe forklift driving skills acquired through six months on the job.
  • Requires the ability to obtain and maintain a forklift operator's license.
  • Ability to commit to the required work shift.
  • Willingness to assist with other tasks as assigned.
