What You'll Do
NPT's asset portfolio is comprised of a large number of private equity funds, hedge funds, and investments in private companies. The Investment Valuation Analyst is responsible for overseeing and managing the compilation, organization, and tracking of required documentation needed to properly value and audit NPT's complex investments.
Salary range: $70,000 - $75,000
Duties/Responsibilities:
  • Track NPT's complex investments and ensure all valuation support is obtained, maintained, and shared with external parties, as appropriate.
  • Review audited financial statements, interim financial information, independent valuation reports, and other relevant information for complex investments to ensure completeness of required information.
  • Support Finance leadership while reviewing ad hoc investment requests.
  • Liase with NPT's independent auditors during the audit process.
  • Partner with NPT's Vice President of Investments on special projects, including Board reports, benchmarking, and other similar activities.
  • Establish and monitor benchmarking of performance between NPT's complex investments and published indices.
  • Partner with other Finance department team members to ensure reporting, compliance, and monitoring of complex investments is complete.

What You Bring:
  • Working knowledge of various financial accounting software packages
  • Excellent analytical skills and demonstrated ability for attention to detail, to analyze problematic situations and to prioritize projects.
  • Strong time management, highly organized and able to meet deadlines while balancing competing deliverables.
  • Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Must be able to function independently as well as in a team environment.
Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in finance or accounting
  • Relevant experience in finance or accounting
  • Audit experience, preferably with Big 4 or regional accounting firm, or experience working with private equity and hedge funds would be a plus.
Physical Requirements:
  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
