Job Purpose

Reporting to the Battery Performance Test Manager, the Senior Electrical Test Engineer will be responsible for supporting Li-Ion NPI (New Product Introduction) activities. The Senior Electrical Test engineer will be responsible for writing test procedures, quoting outside test lab work, organizing test material, ensuring all tests are completed correctly, communicating with internal customers, and writing the final test reports.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Work as part of a Global V&V team supporting Li-Ion product related NPI Activities.
  • Conduct electrical performance testing on high voltage battery systems.
  • Liaise with and support witness test at 3rd party laboratory tests.
  • Work with external parties on fixture design and test instrumentation & optimization
  • Author test reports.
  • Manage and maintain test equipment.
  • Develop and optimize test methods.
  • Develop test standards.
  • Provide product design enhancement suggestions.
Qualifications
  • Undergraduate degree in Electrical Engineering or related technical field.
  • Detailed report writing skills.
  • 5+ years of testing experience.
  • Demonstrated strong teamwork with various organizations both internal and external.
  • Strong communication skills with cross functional teams
