Aon is looking for an Operations Specialist I.

The Operations Specialist will support the Aon Affinity Life and Health Program in our Fort Washington, PA office. This position requires you to be in the office 50% of the time.

Responsibilities include processing endorsements, billing, and finance support as well as use acceptance testing and oversight of application entry.

What the day will look like:

  • Work with carrier partners on certain claim coverage issues. Provide responses and additional documentation independently in a complete, careful, and error-free way
  • Interface with the client by email to request additional information and prepare letters to respond to client requests
  • Work with carrier partners. Independently provide additional information in a complete concise and error-free way
  • Independently follow up with clients via email and written communication
  • Provide backup support to Customer Service Team regarding escalated coverage issues
  • Perform daily QC for new enrollments entered by vendor partner
  • Assist in administration support of our Universal Air Travel Plan (UATP) program, enter new enrollments, process mid-term changes, and renewals, and apply payments
  • Other miscellaneous duties as assigned

Skills and experience that will lead to success:

  • 1-2 years of office work experience, insurance industry experience is preferred
  • Proven record of claims reporting and carrier interface on claims experience preferred
  • Demonstrated knowledge and use of underwriting guidelines preferred
  • Demonstrated use of sound judgment skills with solid decision-making abilities
  • Excellent verbal and written skills
  • Ability to multi-task and independently prioritize work
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills
  • Ability to apply basic math skills
  • Attention to detail with a high level of accuracy

Education:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Life and Disability license is preferred at time of hire; however, Aon will help you attain your license by paying for study material/taking the test while allowing 6 months from the hire date to obtain.

The salary range for this position (intended for U.S. applicants) is $40,000 to $45,000 annually. The actual salary will vary based on applicant's education, experience, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data. The salary may also be adjusted based on applicant's geographic location.
