THE POSITION

The Department of Banking & Securities is looking for an Administrative Officer 1 to provide administrative support to assist in the management of the Depository Institutions deputate within the department. DESCRIPTION OF WORK

As an Administrative Officer 1, you analyze the business process initiatives across the deputate. Duties include collaborating with the Deputy Secretary to identify and prioritize internal initiatives, develop action plans, and coordinate projects throughout the deputate. You also review and analyze all issues received related to consumer correspondence, and verify and maintain historical data, change requests, and coordinate data between the two bureaus within the deputate.

In addition, you develop, coordinate, and recommend training needs. You analyze and submit all training requests for the Deputy Secretary and other staff within the deputate. Also, you assist the Deputy Secretary in developing and reviewing and verifying the annual budget request for the deputate, assist the Deputy Secretary for speaking engagements by performing research and analysis of logistics, and assist administrative officers in the bureaus with application evaluations to verify the accuracy of the information.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

  • Full-time employment, 37.5-hour work week
  • Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with 60-minute lunch.
  • Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg.
  • Parking is included.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

  • Two years of experience in varied office management or staff work; and bachelor's degree; or any equivalent combination of experience and training.
