Job Title: Vice President, Information Technology (VP,IT)

Position Summary:

The Vice President, Information Technology (VP IT) will play a pivotal role in shaping and executing the technology strategy of our fast-growing global pharmaceutical packaging company. The successful candidate will be responsible for leveraging modern IT solutions to enhance business operations, drive efficiency, and ensure compliance. Your leadership will be critical in achieving our organizational goals and maintaining a competitive edge. This role will directly report to PCI's Chief Information Officer (CIO) and will be a strategic member of the Senior Leadership Team.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Leadership:

  • Collaborate with other Senior and C-suite executives to align IT initiatives with overall business objectives.
  • Develop and communicate a clear IT vision and strategy.

Team Building and Management:

  • Build and lead high-performing IT teams.
  • Foster a collaborative and innovative work environment.
  • Mentor and develop team members.

Innovative Technologies

  • Experience with technologies to enable and accelerate innovation company wide.
  • Knowledgeable in technology scalability and efficiencies, data platform and services, operational plant technologies and technology / outsourcing partnerships.

ERP Rationalization and Standardization:

  • Evaluate existing ERP systems and recommend improvements.
  • Drive standardization and alignment across ERP instances
  • Standardize processes across different business sites and segments.

ERP Implementation:

  • Oversee successful implementation of ERP solutions.
  • Avoid any disruptions resulting from implementations.
  • Ensure seamless integration with existing systems.

Cybersecurity:

  • Protect and further develop and implement robust cybersecurity measures.
  • Protect sensitive data and mitigate risks.

Enterprise Architecture Management:

  • Define and maintain the company's technology architecture.
  • Ensure scalability, reliability, and flexibility.
  • Spearhead companymaster data standardization in partnership with Business Process Optimization
  • Drive IT infrastructure modernization and efficiency globally.

Automation:

  • Identify opportunities for process automation.
  • Streamline workflows and enhance efficiency.

Cloud Support:

  • Evaluate cloud solutions (e.g., AWS, Azure) and implement cloud strategies.
  • Optimize cloud infrastructure for cost-effectiveness and performance.

IT General Controls for SOX Compliance:

  • Establish and enforce IT controls to comply with Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) requirements.
  • Work closely with internal audit teams.

Acquisition Integration:

  • Lead IT integration efforts during mergers and acquisitions.
  • Ensure smooth transition of technology systems.

Digital Transformation and Open AI:

  • Design and prepare for digital transformation initiatives in coming years.
  • Invest in, and expand our Digital Platform capabilities supporting PCI-Bridge
  • Explore opportunities for leveraging Open AI technologies across multiple areas (Quality, Business Development, Legal, Finance).

Global Systems Management and IT Support:

  • JDE, WD, SF, LIMS ADF, MEF, etc.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Masters degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
  • Proven experience as a CIO or in a similar leadership role for a mid to large sized public company
  • Strong understanding of pharmaceutical industry dynamics.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on execution.

Other:
  • Travel - Domestic USA and international (primarily Europe) travel required; expected to be 25-30% of the time and as needed
