Sales Assistant Position Summary:

This full-time position is responsible for a very wide range of administrative duties necessary to support Abrasives Senior Sales Management (all channels). The Sales Assistant will support back-office functions on behalf of the sales organization including providing purchasing support, general sales administrative tasks, and meeting support.The candidate must be proactive, efficient, thorough, prompt and have keen attention to detail.

Essential Functions/Responsibilities:

Communication/Collaboration

  • Use of common tools (email, phone, MS Teams) to support North American Sales Management
  • Cross-function collaboration with Finance, Human Resources, Credits/Deductions, Insurance, Customer Service, etc.
  • Administrative duties, including email and distribution list management

Meeting and Event Planning

  • Support sales management in coordinating meetings to support the commercial teams. Partner with internal stakeholders and outside vendors.
  • Manage meeting logistics (meals, rooms, entertainment, registration, agendas, and other associated tasks).
  • Investigate multiple venues to solicit quotations for events.
  • Manage contracts with hotel and conference vendors, entertainment, audiovisual, meals, and accommodations to stay within budget.
  • Ensure all buying policies and procedures are followed.
  • Travel for large events/meetings may be required to support large meetings, including managing registration and supporting logistics

Reporting/Troubleshooting

  • Create and validate reports in Microstrategy, Power BI (Business Intelligence) and Salesforce for sales management team.
  • Work in collaboration with Sales Credit Lead to research Sales Credit to identify & resolve discrepancies.
  • Partner with Finance (Customer Programs) to clarify Sales Credit issues.
  • Run Open/Click reports for Ads - NPL Communication Tracking.
