Job Summary:
The Bucknell University Department of Music seeks a creative individual with strong teaching and performance skills to teach one of three applied voice studios beginning in Fall 2024. Tenor/baritone/bass will be given preference. The number of students varies per semester, and 4-8 hours per week is anticipated. The successful candidate will join a dedicated faculty in an
active department committed to teaching college students of all levels.

Candidates should be experienced and comfortable teaching collegiate students of all levels and all styles (beginner to advanced). Teachers set their teaching schedules around student availability, typically during regular class hours.

Position Duties
Teach private voice lessons to Bucknell students during the fall and spring semesters (13 weekly lessons per student each semester).
Lessons are either 30 minutes or 60 minutes in duration, depending on the student's major and/or goals. The stipend is based on the number of students in the studio and the lesson length. Some mileage compensation could be available depending on the distance traveled to Bucknell.

* Participate in and assist with the end-of-semester recital showcase.
* Participate in prospective student auditions.
* Participate in and assist with weekly studio classes.
Any additional participation outside of voice lessons will be compensated.

Qualifications

Master's degree in voice performance and/or pedagogy is required.
Documented successful teaching experience is required, with collegiate
experience preferred.
Tenor, baritone, or bass preferred.
Documented successful performing experience preferred.
Be team-oriented and collaborative.
