We're seeking a Senior Vice President, Data Governance to join our functional team. This role is preferred to be in Pittsburgh via hybrid in office work arrangement.

In this role, you'll make an impact in the following:

  • Partner with stakeholders in Product, Operations and Enterprise Data Management to advance the maturity of the Issuer Services data management framework.
  • Help establish enterprise and business level data principles, standards, and guidelines on behalf of the Issuer Services Data Office.
  • Represent the Issuer Services Data Office in enterprise-wide data initiatives.
  • Develop an understanding of key data attributes required by Issuer Services products and business processes. Implement processes and controls to improve quality and usability.
  • Review, recommend and execute best practices to drive continuous data management improvements.
  • Serve as a resource for data governance related questions and guide resolutions.
  • Work collaboratively with the business and technology teams to conduct analysis and produce detailed project artifacts including requirements documents, data roadmaps and other analysis documentation.
  • Support the evolution, execution and connectivity of data governance tools and technologies to support data governance initiatives.
  • Regularly assess and refine data governance processes and policies in line with the industry best practice, to promote continuous improvement.
  • Demonstrate management expertise and exercise influence to identify, evaluate and recommend potential objectives to support the delivery of data management services.

To be successful in this role, we're seeking the following:

  • Strong stakeholder management and people skills, and the ability to manage multiple competing priorities under pressure. You will have strong analytical and management skills, are familiar with Agile methodology and played an active role in scrums such as backlog refinement, sprint planning and execution.
  • Experience in data governance and data management and strong knowledge of best practices.
  • Strong organization, communication, and presentation skills
  • Expertise of managing data and processes in a global enterprise environment with an understanding of database and schema design
  • Excellent communication, both in listening and conveying messages to a wide range of stakeholder groups
  • Strong conceptual and problem-solving skills, with an ability to develop creative and structured solutions.
  • Ability to influence relevant parties to ensure milestones are met.
  • Project management via Agile execution methodology.
  • People Leadership, be able to inspire and build momentum across a global team but you are also a team player, happy to roll up your sleeves when needed.
  • Technical proficiencies: MS Office, Collibra, Solidatus.
  • Banking or Financial Services experience, especially that pertaining to corporate trust or related issuer services preferred.

Data Transfer, Integration and Quality Analysis - IC5Contributes to the functional approach to and conduct of analyses, reconciliations, troubleshooting and review of incoming and outgoing data to ensure accurate performance/output generated by organization technology products and solutions. Tests data quality and works directly with outside vendors to confirm they have all necessary information. May contribute to establishment of data quality testing policies and procedures. Reviews and approves data testing performed by more junior team members and provides instruction on communications with outside vendors. Analyzes and monitors data/reports to ensure quality of and accurate transfer, integration, translation, and reporting of data, reacting promptly to data quality statistics and client inquiries. Based on experiential analysis and deep domain expertise, executes complex data fixes of critical importance to the organization, client or vendor/partner, resulting in improved performance or accuracy. Develops and implements new SOPs for the function.Develops test planning strategies/methodologies to ensure the quality and accurate delivery/transfer of test and production files.Develops and implements data normalization and diagrammatic techniques and processes. Advises businesses/clients on defining data workflows or reporting requirements.Performs macro-level analyses to identify trending issues across clients, products, integration or transition activities, etc. Develops and implements preemptive solutions.No direct reports. Provides guidance to less experienced colleagues as needed. Often serves as project lead, allocating work to and monitoring the work quality of others.Contributes to the achievement of area and functional objectives.Bachelors degree or the equivalent combination of education and experience is required. Advanced/graduate degree preferred.10-12 years of total work experience preferred. Experience in securities or financial services preferred.
