Job Description
WORK SCHEDULE:           
Monday – Friday 8:15 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. or 7:45 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.
                                                           
QUALIFICATIONS:           
PA certified as a Teacher of the Visually Impaired or Emergency Permit.
M.Ed. preferred, dual certification a plus (TVI/COMS).
Knowledge of educating students with multiple disabilities, including visual impairment.

RESPONSIBILITIES:         
To provide direct instruction in a classroom setting while embedding visual efficiency skills by following our school’s curricula.  
To consult with educational staff regarding student needs and performance throughout the school year. Collaborate with Educational Team on student specific tasks and vocational experiences.
To write and implement effective re-evaluation reports, IEPs, data collection, progress monitoring (graphs), instructional programs and other relevant paperwork.
To serve as the classroom manager and team leader.
To focus on student engagement while organizing the structure of the classroom, including age-appropriate activities.
