Penn Machine Company is a proven 100+ year old local company in a growth industry. We are a leading manufacturer of products and services for the transit, railroad, mining, and oil/gas industries.- Schedule, repair and perform maintenance and preventative maintenance, on machines and associated equipment, cranes and crane hoists, and additional facility equipment.
- Develop preventative maintenance schedules for equipment and monitor compliance.
- Maintain sufficient levels of equipment spares for facility.
- Develop and maintain equipment and facility maintenance inspection records.
- Complete safety inspections on equipment and repair, as necessary.
- Assist with Safety, Health and Environmental concerns.
- Schedule electrical or mechanical installation or repairs with contractors, as needed.
- Participate in and maintain 6S activities\areas.
- High school diploma/GED with previous experience maintaining, trouble shooting and repairing equipment in a manufacturing environment.
- Basic understanding of electricity.
- Basic understanding of mechanical systems; hydraulics, compressed air, and plumbing.
- Ability to read and understand blueprints and illustrated drawings.
- Good verbal communication skills
- Ability to operate computers systems and programs to develop spreadsheets for inventory, preventative maintenance schedules and repair history.
