Intrado is looking to hire an Accountantto join our team.

As an Accountant, you will be responsible for managing the financial transactions, reporting, and analysis for Intrado. You will play a key role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial data, providing insights to support decision-making, and complying with relevant regulations and accounting standards. This position requires a strong understanding of accounting principles, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate financial information effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for Transaction taxes, Sales & Use Taxes, GST/HST/PST, Ireland VAT, Personal Property Taxes, Business Licenses, Annual Reports, RFP requests, Income Tax liaison, monitor CRA and RevQ, Regulatory liaison, other accounting duties as assigned
  • Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) or other applicable accounting standards
  • Lead the month-end and year-end closing processes, reconciling accounts, recording journal entries, and preparing accruals to accurately reflect the financial position of the company
  • Maintain the integrity of the general ledger by reviewing and analyzing account balances, investigating discrepancies, and implementing corrective actions as needed
  • Collaborate with various departments to develop and monitor budgets and forecasts, providing financial insights and recommendations to support strategic planning and decision-making
  • Ensure compliance with tax regulations, financial reporting requirements, and internal controls, preparing and filing necessary reports accurately and on time
  • Assist with internal and external audits, providing documentation, explanations, and support to auditors as needed
  • Work closely with other departments, such as finance, operations, and legal, to gather information, resolve issues, and support business initiatives
  • Maintain adherence to corporate financial policies and procedures, recommending updates or revisions as necessary to ensure compliance and alignment with best practices

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • Equivalent work experience in a similar position may be substituted for educational requirements

Experience:

  • 3+ years of proven experience in corporate tax compliance and accounting, preferably in a corporate accounting department or public accounting firm
  • Proficiency in tax software (e.g., Avalara) and Microsoft Excel; experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle)
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to prioritize tasks to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and interact with internal and external stakeholders

The hiring range for this position is anticipated between $70,000 and $75,000 and will be commensurate with experience.
