Job Description

Join Ecolab as a Planner - Materials Management supporting the Nalco Water divisions. This new role will be responsible for the management of raw material suppliers to support production within our North America network. This position will have the opportunity to help design and establish the path forward strategy aligning to the deliverables of strengthening our resiliency, driving better performance and value from our suppliers, and delivering solutions to improve service to our customers by reducing failures from raw materials.

The successful candidate must be a self-directed achiever, possess a strategic mindset, and be an excellent cross-functional collaborator and communicator. The role will report to the Sr. Planning Manager for North America Planning as part of the Nalco Water Global Supply Chain. This role will be based in Garyville, LA or Naperville, IL with a hybrid work schedule.

What You Will Do:

  • Partner with suppliers to manage tight raw materials. Tight raw materials are defined as materials with supply chain challenges e.g., force majeure, market tightness, logistics constraints, etc.
  • Develop supplier partnerships to ensure open communication regarding supply disruptions, raw material forecasting, planned shutdowns, and material allocations.
  • Partner with Procurement on supplier business reviews to drive improvements.
  • Partner with Planning, Procurement, and sites to allocate materials throughout Ecolab.
  • Partner with Planning, Procurement, and sites on insource & outsource execution.
  • Partner with Procurement, Divisions, and sites on sourcing strategies and material resiliency.
  • Execute purchase order management with sites during supply chain disruptions.
  • Execute cadence Inventory Health reviews to ensure we continuously optimize inventory levels.
  • Execute master data management with sites e.g., safety stocks, lead times, MOQ., etc.
  • Execute raw material loss analysis to drive efficiencies and/or savings.
  • Own and govern network key performance indicators (KPIs) with sites.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 3 years of applicable Supply Chain Planning experience, preferably inventory management or master planning with global operations
  • Strong leadership, analytical, and problem-solving skills to drive decisions and build consensus among stakeholders.
  • High level of proficiency with common ERP systems, specifically Materials Management (MM) and Production Planning (PP).
  • Position requires a high-level proficiency with MS Office, primarily Excel.
  • No immigration sponsorship for this role

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Supply Chain, or related degree
  • Advanced degree a plus
  • A track record of successfully delivering to Key Performance Indicators and business objectives.
  • Strong communication skills both written and verbal at all levels of the organization.
  • APICS Certification preferred
  • Experience in SAP
  • Experience in operational excellence and project management such as TPM, Lean 6 sigma, continuous improvement, etc.
