Job Description

The Sechan Product Sustainment Technician will test, troubleshoot, and as directed, repair and modify customer repair and production electronic components, parts, equipment, and systems, such as computer equipment, and test equipment applying principles and theories of electronics, electronics circuitry, and electronic systems testing.
 
Position Responsibilities:
•    Test electronic units, using standard test equipment, and analyze results to evaluate performance and determine need for adjustment.
•    Maintain certifications for all skills required for SPS (Tool and Hardware, IPC610, IPC620, J-STD, etc.)
•    Fluent in all support software relevant to SPS operations.
•    Perform preventive maintenance and calibration of equipment and systems.
•    Read blue prints, wiring diagrams, schematic drawings, and engineering instructions for assembling electronics units, applying knowledge of electronics theory and components.
•    Identify and resolve equipment malfunctions, working independently, and with engineers when necessary.
•    Maintain system logs and manuals to document testing and operation of equipment.
•    Assemble, test, and maintain test equipment or electronic systems according to engineering instructions. 
•    Maintain inventory of test equipment and related documentation, such as calibration status, and location of equipment.
•    Maintain working knowledge of state-of-the-art equipment, tools or software by reading or attending, workshops or other training.
•    Maintain a safe, clean, and professional work environment.
•    Perform other duties as assigned to support business goals and objectives.

Skills & Abilities:
•    Knowledge of circuit boards, processors, chips, electronic equipment, and computer hardware and software, including applications and programming.
•    Knowledge of incoming test requirements, production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effectiveness of the testing process.
•    Understand the implication of new information for both current and future problem solving and decision making.
•    Identify complex problems and reviewing related information to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions.
•    Demonstrates ability to work largely unsupervised with occasional need for support on more advanced problems. 
•    Makes sound decisions regarding problem solving and takes appropriate initiative in enacting solutions.

Qualifications: 
•    Two year degree from and accredited Electrical Engineering Technical School 
•    2 to 10 years of experience as an electronics technician. 
•    Ability to obtain/maintain a Department of Defense security clearance.

Work Environment:
•    Production Environment:   Requires physical capability to work in a production environment up to 9 hours a day including; sit, stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Specific vision abilities including; close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.  
•    Hours 6:30 – 4:00, Monday through Thursday; Friday 6:30-3:00; occasional additional hours as needed 
•    9/80 work schedule.
•    Office located in Lititz, PA
