ATI is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Senior Cybersecurity Engineer to contribute towards the development and support of solutions to assess, analyze, and manage organizational, operational, and technical risks to mission-critical assets, processes, systems, and infrastructures. This position can be based at any of our major locations in Dallas, Texas, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania or at one of our plant locations in Cudahy, Wisconsin; Monroe, North Carolina; or Millersburg, Oregon.

As an experienced and highly motivated Senior Cybersecurity Engineer, you will contribute towards the development and support of solutions to assess, analyze, and manage organizational, operational, and technical risks to mission-critical assets, processes, systems, and infrastructures.

A successful Senior Cybersecurity Engineer is intimately knowledgeable with a variety of cybersecurity concepts, practices, and procedures and relies on their personal experience and judgement to plan, drive initiatives and accomplish cybersecurity goals. Successful Senior Cybersecurity Engineers are also strong leaders, project managers, and work with a wide degree of latitude and creativity to solve problems and meet objectives. In this role, you will also show your interpersonal skills to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and employees at all levels of the organization.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Drive impact to develop, analyze, and implement cybersecurity technical layers of defense
  • Solve unique and complex problems with broad impact on the business
  • Communicate complex ideas to senior management
  • Lead incident response efforts enterprise wide
  • Lead projects with manageable risks and resource requirements
  • Lead and participate in cybersecurity assessments operating in a technical leadership role; analyze assessment data to identify risk areas and propose mitigation alternatives
  • Develop mitigation and oversight plans to address cybersecurity risk
  • Continuously develop, improve, and support cybersecurity situational awareness across the organization
  • Engage in professional development activities


Basic Qualifications:

  • 5 years of experience as an information security engineer or analyst, network security architect, information systems analyst, or similarly technical occupation
  • 3 or more years of people leadership
  • Strong working knowledge of cybersecurity operations functions
  • Ability to communication difficult or sensitive information effectively across various levels and organizational lines.
  • Experience working in a manufacturing or industrial business environment
  • Applied knowledge and expertise in:
    • Cybersecurity concepts and technical implementations
    • Cybersecurity standards, policies, and frameworks
    • Cybersecurity laws, regulations, and standards

Preferred Qualifications:

  • In-depth understanding of incident response, SIEM configuration/architecture, endpoint detection & response, and other technical layers of defense
  • Ability to assume responsibility as a subject matter expert for cybersecurity
  • Ability to lead projects with notable risk and complexity
  • Develop strategies for project execution
  • Working knowledge of network interoperability, cybersecurity, and survivability issues, including cybersecurity best practices and standards
  • Ability to solve complex problems, reasoning, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently with limited supervision
