Job Description/Essential Functions:

Horizon House, a non-profit organization, has been widely recognized for its services as a provider of community-based behavioral health, intellectual disabled and homeless services in Eastern Pennsylvania and the state of Delaware. Each year, Horizon House provides a continuum of services at over 100 sites to over 4,5000 adults with psychiatric or developmental disabilities, drug and alcohol addictions, and/or homelessness. A pioneer in the field of community-based rehabilitation, Horizon House is widely recognized for its innovative approach to the delivery of services in a community setting. Currently, we are seeking full time Fiscal Coordinator to work in our Information Developmental Services Department.

This position will be one of our central points of contact to clinical computer users for technical support and assistance.

Some of the duties are:

  • Analyze and review data submitted and received from the state Home and Community Services Information System (HCSIS) that supports the home and community-based services programs and Medicaid waivers.
  • Provide divisional fiscal cash management and divisional reporting.
  • Oversee processing of petty cash for division and work in conjunction with fiscal department to resolve discrepancies.
  • In conjunction with Fiscal Operations Director makes recommendations in support of continuous improvement of program fiscal processes to achieve optimal output.
  • Provide Support to Representative Payee Benefits Specialists.
  • Prepare and maintain financial records.
Job Qualifications:

A successful applicant will have the following:

  • B.S./B.A. Degree in Accounting, Business Administration or Finance and three (3) years experience or any combination of education; experience and training that would provide the level of knowledge, skill, and ability required.
  • At least one (1) year of supervisory experience
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications such as Excel and Word.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles.
  • Detail oriented and highly organized.
  • Working knowledge of manual and automated accounting system.
  • Highly organized, detail oriented, and able to work independently..
  • Ability to meet deadlines.
  • Strong analytical and computer skills.
  • Very good communication skills, both verbal and written.

Scope:

  • Required sitting for long periods of time.
  • Light lifting and/or carrying, not to exceed 25 lbs.
  • Frequent talking and listening.
