Overview

Roxborough Memorial Hospital is a 131-bed community hospital. The hospital has been serving the medical and health care needs of the Roxborough, Manayunk, East Falls and northwest section of Philadelphia communities for more than a century, having first opened its doors in 1890. Roxborough Memorial Hospitals School of Nursing has been educating nurses since 1898. The hospital is accredited by the Joint Commission on the Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations, the nation's oldest and largest hospital accreditation agency.

Responsibilities
    On Campus in the Inpatient REHAB unit
  • 1099
  • Flexible Hours, based on census
  • Solo Practice
  • Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Core Privileges
    • Admit, Evaluate, diagnose, treat and provide consultation and nonsurgical therapeutic treatments to patients of all ages, exept as specifically excluded from pratice, with physical impairements and/ or disabilities involving neuromuscular, neurologic or musculoskeletal disorders, for the purpose of restoration or maximization of functional activies.
    • Priveledges include, but are not limited to:
      • therapeutic exercises
      • prescription and use of prstheses and orthoses
      • administration and interpretation of electrodiagnostic studies
      • aspiration and injection of peripheral joints
      • trigger point injections
Qualifications
  • Need Phys Med & Rehab training; must show that they have provided IP or consultative services for at least 50 Phys Med & Rehab pts during past 12 months of hire or completed a fellowship in lieu
  • The ideal candidate will be a board-certified or board-eligible physiatrist with experience in managing patients with a wide range of physical disabilities and chronic conditions
  • Board-certified or board-eligible in Physiatry
  • Valid medical license in PA
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work well in a team environment
  • Commitment to patient-centered care
