Job Description

Responsibilities

TRC is currently seeking a Survey Technician to join our team.

Position Summary / Job Duties:

Individual must be able to perform the following duties.

  • Use of CAD software and ability to post process survey data. AutoCAD Civil3D & Trimble TBC preferred,
  • Produce finished survey deliverables including but not limited to base mapping, topographic and contour data, ALTA, boundary & utility surveys.
  • Provide calculation and plotting of deeds, plans and survey documentation.
  • Produce survey exhibits, plans, plats and other drafting.
  • Develop construction stakeout upload files and hard sheets for survey crews.
  • Process and produce post-construction and AsBuilt data and drawings.
  • Provide and follow quality processes and procedures.
  • Effectively communicate with internal & external stakeholders and team members.

Qualifications

Qualifications / Required Training, Experience, Education and/or Skills:

  • Preferred Minimum of 3 years of Survey Technician / CAD experience.
  • Requires knowledge of both survey technology and basic civil engineering concepts.
  • Minimum High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Certified Survey Technician III or IV or LSIT preferred.
  • Candidates with bachelor's degree from ABET accredited survey curriculum preferred.
  • Candidates with Remote Sensing experience such as sUAV/Drone Part 107 Pilots, Laser Scanning and/or hydrographic surveys is a plus.
  • Candidates must have good written and verbal communication skills, good mechanical, and computer skills.
  • A valid driver's license is required.
  • Candidates may from time to time be required to work from an office or home setting and in outdoor, construction, industrial or other project settings.
