Job Purpose

The Quality Engineers shall ensure the overall quality of manufactured products. Responsible for quality audits, monitor quality standards, create documentation, collaborate with Engineering to devise quality tests, and define the criteria a test result should meet.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

Quality Engineer (Entry Level):

Job Purpose
Qualified candidate shall ensure the overall quality of manufactured products. Responsible for quality audits, monitor quality standards, create documentation, collaborate with Engineering to devise quality tests, and define the criteria a test result should meet.

Responsibilities:

* Responsible for the PPAP, Control Plans and GR&R for their respective areas.
* Support FMEA development as part of cross-functional team.
* Perform root cause analysis and transform the analysis into the appropriate records,
documents and communications for internal and external distribution, including corrective
actions.
* Perform Measurement System Analysis including calibration records.
* Address quality rejects and customer returned material.
* Application of statistical techniques and assistance to others as required.
* Assist with the tracking of Advanced Quality Planning activities.
* Monitor and help control scrap; including pareto and corrective action analysis.
* Assist with the monitoring, analyzing, and reporting of facility key indicators and associated improvement action plans.
* Assist in supplier development as required.
* Assist with process improvements and data analysis.
* Support continuous improvement activities.
* Assist with process capability studies and quality audits.
* Other duties as required.

Skills Required:

* 2 - 5 years of relevant experience or an Associate degree in Engineering, preferably in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial or Mechanical engineering
* Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience in a manufacturing environment (internship experience will count towards the 1 year requirement)
* Ability to coordinate cross-functional activities.
* Proficient in the use of MS Project, Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
* Proficient in the understanding of Engineering drawings and technical specifications.
* Ability to attain ASQ Certified Quality Engineer within 1-yearo Demonstrated competence in Quality related statistics.
* Understanding of one or more technical problem-solving tools
