Job Description

Primary Responsibilities

  • Interpreting clinical data according to standard medical practice, GCP guidelines, protocol and charter definition and according to standard Bioclinica SOPs
  • Completing source documents accurately and promptly, according to the specific charter requirements and following Bioclinica SOPs
  • Correcting entries on source documents and Case Report Forms (CRFs) in a timely manner as needed
  • Participating in training sessions for the respective protocols
  • Performing Photo Image Quality Assessment (Photo IQA) and participates in the Medical Photography process
  • Reviewing protocols, charters and associated clinical and technical study documents as required
  • Maintaining security of images, data and equipment
  • Ensuring confidentiality of study protocols and subjects is maintained
  • Participating in sponsor site visits and audits as requested
  • Collaborating with management to resolve oncologic study concerns and problems
  • Responsible for his/her continuing professional education
  • Performing quality control on his/her work for completeness
  • Identifying and participating in the performance improvement process
  • Participating in the development, review and evaluation of SOPs and study specific procedures
  • Create test cases for oncology-specific training
  • Maintaining a safe work environment and reports workplace hazards immediately
  • Participating in the MA lecture series
  • Other functions as assigned by the Chief Medical Officer, VP Medical Oncology and Senior Medical Director

Secondary Responsibilities

Maintains Quality Service and Departmental Standards by

  • Reading, understanding, and adhering to organizational Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
  • Assisting in establishing and enforcing departmental standards
  • Participating in user acceptance testing for new tools and software enhancements
  • Participating in the modification of company SOPs related to the department

Contribute to Team Effort by:

  • Exploring new opportunities to add value to organization and departmental processes
  • Helping internal and external customers to achieve results
  • Communicating with different internal departments regarding image quality, deliverables, data discrepancies, and issues needing resolution
  • Attending project specific, system and team focused trainings
  • Training employees on imaging modalities and system applications, including proprietary and 3rd party
  • Performing other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

Education:

  • Medical degree
  • Possess a valid US medical license, desired
  • Graduate of an approved program in Oncology, with additional subspecialty training as required.
  • Board Certified Oncologist

Experience:

  • Experience in research and/or imaging core lab, desired
  • Comprehensive understanding of treatment response evaluation of solid tumor and hematological malignancies

  • Self-motivated, flexible and adaptable to business needs
  • Must have interpersonal skills to interact effectively
  • Outgoing, friendly, professional personality
  • Must present a positive attitude and a professional appearance.
  • Must possess analytical abilities necessary to acquire and effectively utilize knowledge regarding diagnoses, radiographic assessment interpretation and treatment of oncology subjects

Working conditions:

Travel: 0-5%

Lifting: 0-10lbs

Other: Computer work for long periods of time
