Job Description/Essential Functions:
This position is responsible in conjunction with the Pact Director, has overall clinical responsibility for monitoring client treatment and staff delivery of clinical services.; the Psychiatrist provides psychiatric and medical assessment and treatment; clinical supervision, education, and training of the team; and development, maintenance and supervision of medication and psychiatric and medical treatment policies and procedures.

Purpose:
As a member of the multidisciplinary team, the Psychiatrist in conjunction with the Pact Director, has
overall clinical responsibility for monitoring client treatment and staff delivery of clinical services.

The Psychiatrist provides psychiatric and medical assessment and treatment, clinical supervision,
education, and training of the team; and development, maintenance and supervision of medication and
psychiatric and medical treatment policies and procedures.

Supervision Received:
Receives general clinical direction from the Medical Director.

Supervision Exercised:
Provide clinical supervision and support to all Pact team members.
Job Qualifications:


Qualifications:

Medical Doctor. Possess valid PA state license to practice medicine.
Board certified or board eligible in psychiatry.
Skills and competence to establish supportive trusting relationships with persons with severe and persistent mental illnesses and respect for client rights and personal preferences in treatment are essential.
Clinical supervisory experience is desirable. Must be knowledgeable about the PACT model. Must be available for local travel and possess a valid driver's license. Excellent oral and written communication skills
Scope:

Frequent talking and listening.
May be required to provide crisis intervention assistance in emergency situations.
It is agreed and understood that employee shall not be liable for events or crises in which employee is not personally and actively involved. Requires the ability to lift, carry, hold, kneel, reach, stack, stoop and bend, which may include direct intervention with clients.
