Position: Registered Nurse RN - Ambulatory, EP Cardiology
Shift: Full Time, 40 hours week Day shift; Monday - Friday, no weekends or holidays!

Experience:
Preferred:
1. Experience in a clinical nursing setting and/or primary care office.
Strong telephone triage experience.
2. Experience with Warfarin management, medication refills and knowledge of insurance information.

Education:
Graduate of an accredited ASN or BSN nursing program.

Licensures/Certifications:
1. Current Pennsylvania RN license.
2. Provider BLS (American Heart Assoc/American Red Cross) required.

Job Functions:

1. Prior Authorization as it relates to prescriptions.
2. TVAR Patients, placement of long term monitor (Zio Patch) prior to the patient going home.
3. Wound Checks: performing them in 30 minute time slots.

  • Entails: Device Management-ensure that one's implanted device is functioning as expected
    Examining the wound and performing care as needed

4. Epic In-Basket Tasking

  • Performing Tasks within the LHG EP Provider Poo,.

5. Completing device management worksheets for those patients having a procedure done.

  • Example: Surgical or MRI

6. Rooming with EP Physicians

  • Completing the device check, ensuring that the device is functioning as expected
  • MA will do the actual rooming tool (s).

7. Other job related functions as assigned.
