Job Description
JOB TITLE:                 Senior Financial Planning and Analyst
REPORTS TO:             CFO    
DEPARTMENT:            Finance
FLSA STATUS:            Exempt
DATE:                          May 8, 2020                                         

HIGHLY PREFERRED & Favored: Experience working with private equity firms with manufacturing holdings.

POSITION SUMMARY
Utilize quantitative and qualitative analysis of all operational aspects of the company in order to evaluate the company’s progress toward achieving set goals and to map future goals and plans. The position delivers analysis as part of the finance processes, linking financial results to operational performance drivers.  Reviews a broad array of financial affairs, including income, expenses, taxes, capital expenditures, and financial statements.  This position is also responsible for leading, developing and understanding financial performance variances and "turning data into useful management information" for the Company’s various reporting segments/regions.  

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Provide data to support the decision process by financial modeling, business case analysis, and financial/management reporting.
  • Participates in the development of strategic and operational objectives for IKG that are aligned with the strategic direction of the business.
  • Partner with management to build annual budgets, quarterly forecasts, monthly forecasts, and strategic plans. 
  • Prepare financial bridges and variance analysis required for budget / forecast preparation and completion.
  • Create, update, and maintain financial models and detailed forecasts of operations that can be used in dashboards, presentations or board reporting presentations.
  • Create and distribute standard monthly financial reporting, including monthly financial packages that track trends and performance of expenses, cash flow, CAPEX, balance sheet KPIs, and other critical metrics
  • Prepare financial forecast to include income statement and free cash flow analysis.
  • Consolidate and analyze regional budgets and forecasts.
  • Provide detailed variance analyses comparing forecast and budget to actual results.
  • Analyze current and historical financial data to help predict future results.
  • Participate in process improvement initiatives around financial planning and analysis and financial systems.
  • Prepare and present financial and business presentations for executive management and Private Equity owners
  • Develop documentation for current processes and routine practices.
  • Assist local accounting team including cost accounting (journal entries, audits).
  • Ad hoc requests from senior management.


Education & Skills Requirement
  • Bachelor's Degree (B.A. or B.S.) in Finance or Accounting from accredited University
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience
  • Solid understanding of GAAP
  • Strong financial analysis, reporting and planning skills and advanced excel skills
  • Ability to evaluate complex financial options and scenarios.
  • Hands-on ability to proactively respond to requests while ensuring all deliverables are met on time
  • Articulate with excellent written and oral communication skills in English
  • Driven and self-motivated
  • Solid critical thinking and analytical skills
  • High degree of accuracy with strong attention to detail
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Ability to prioritize
  • Excellent judgement
  • Aptitude to grasp and retain new concepts quickly
  • Prior experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Experience with various Business Intelligence (BI) platforms a plus
  • Experience with Hyperion, Oracle Essbase Smartview a plus
  • Experience with Syteline ERP system a plus
