Job Summary: To prepare take-offs of quantities of materials, areas accessories, and special work from customer drawings and specifications.

Requirements:

Primary Responsibilities:
* Prepare quantity take-offs and verifications of quantities of material and accessories from customer drawing and furnishes this information to division and sales offices and outside representatives for use in establishing prices and preparing quotations.
* Determines load capacities for various grating types and sizes and calculates weights for special orders.
* Interact with company sales personnel and outside representatives to provide estimating information.
* Solve routine problems, referring others to management
* Other duties as assigned by management.
Requirements:
Basic Qualifications:
Education and/or Experience: Requires an Associate Degree or a high school diploma with a minimum of 5 years estimating experience, the ability to read and interpret structural design drawings, knowledge of math, geometry and trigonometry and the knowledge of IKG products and manufacturing processes.

Technical Skills
Mathematical Skills: Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
Computer Skills: To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel software. Manufacturing software desirable.
