Brief Description    
     
    The Regional Sales Director provides strategic direction and progressive leadership to achieve sales and profit goals within a region. The chosen candidate will design and recommend sales and marketing programs and set short- and long-term sales strategies.
     
Detailed Description    
     
   

* Develop and administer region's sales plan that ensures customer satisfaction, assigned quota attainment, good reference accounts, and highly skilled and motivated staff

* Partner with Marketing to develop and implement sales marketing programs and initiatives

* Determine annual region sales and gross profit plan by implementing marketing strategies and analyzing trends and results

* Establish sales objectives by forecasting and developing quota for territories

* Project expected sales volume and profit for existing and new product lines and customers

* Provide data and support documentation for sales and margin actual performance, forecasts and strategies to the Director of Operations and Region Controller as required

* Maintain sales volume, product mix and selling price by keeping current with market supply and demand, changing trends, economic indicators and competitors

* Coordinate order service by directing Account Representatives and executives on quotations, proposals, project order management techniques, and customer complaint resolution

* Establish and adjust selling prices by monitoring costs, competition and market conditions

* Assist in maintaining the region's sales staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting and training employees

* Maintain sales staff results by counseling and disciplining employees and planning, monitoring and apprising job results

* Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications and participating in professional societies

* Forecast and communicate intricate details to senior Corporate management on a timely basis

* Perform other duties as required

     
Job Requirements    
     
   

* Understanding of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation and coordination of people and resources

* Understanding of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services, including customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services and evaluation of customer satisfaction

* Strong written and verbal communication skills

* Strong time management and leadership skills

* Strong analytical and computer skills

EXPERIENCE

* Minimum of 5 years of professional sales experience in related industry

* Minimum of 3 years of experience supervising and managing staff and programs
