| Job Description |
Position Overview:
- Responsible for performing application software development and system enhancements.
- Supporting PNC’s Purchase Loan Accounting application, which consists of an in-house developed Oracle Database and a vendor application. The application is in production, but will be undergoing active development and enhancement for the foreseeable future.
- Drawing upon your understanding of complete systems development cycles, you will work with various development teams as they complete the design process, advising and assisting them to help move projects into production.
- Provide production support; be involved in applying upgrades/fixes, and developing customizations. Efforts may include activities associated with the installation and modifications to packaged application software.
- System testing, system debugging and documentation of software modifications.
- Working in partnership with LOB service partners and technology team members, leads system testing and user acceptance testing of advanced and highly complex system enhancements.
- Technology quality assurance review; may also assume responsibility for coordinating overall business system quality assurance.
Leads project team that will be responsible for performing highly complex software development activities and works independently
- Ensures their job responsibilities are performed in a manner consistent with corporate and technology risk management standards.
- Production system problem resolution and will provide off-hour support
- Performs highly complex software development activities.
- Formulates/defines system scope and objectives for assigned projects.
- Translates business requirements into specific systems, applications or process designs.
- Performs gap analysis and identifies technology components needed to support business.
- Works with outside vendors
- Provides end user consulting support
- Quality Assurance Review
Skills:
- Ability to work with people on all levels in the organization
- Has full technical knowledge of all phases of applications systems analysis and programming.
- Ability to directing and monitoring the work of team members.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in an IT related field.
- 7-10 years related experience.
- Possess an expert and thorough understanding of IT concepts including database concepts structures, software/application development techniques and testing techniques.
- Expert and thorough understanding of core technologies contained within the LOB application supported.
