We're seeking a future team member for the role of Analyst, Equity Trade Support to join our Middle Office Trade Support team. This role can be located in either Pittsburgh, PA or Lake Mary, FL - HYBRID.

This Middle Office Trade Support team plays a critical role in the Middle Office Operations department within The Markets Operations Group at BNY Mellon. This team serves as a central liaison to the front office and is responsible for the mitigation of risk in support of day to day trading activities, life cycle events, PNL review, reconciliations, regulatory/compliance support, project management, and ad hoc requests from the multiple desks that we support.

The team supports the following products - Equities (Domestic and International), Fixed Income, ETF's, Options, Total Return Swaps and Transition Management.

In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:

  • Providing proactive assessment and resolution of complex issues on behalf of the trading desk, working across Infrastructure and external contacts to address and as point of escalation to management as warranted.
  • Confirm and reconcile trade details across front office, middle office and counterparties to ensure accuracy and resolve discrepancies.
  • Monitor and facilitate the timely settlement of a vast variety of products including managing exceptions and liaising with custodians and brokers.
  • Ensure all trading activities comply with relevant regulatory requirements and internal policies including maintaining accurate records for compliance.
  • Identify and mitigate operational risks related to trade processing and settlement and monitor for any discrepancies of potential issues.
  • Generate and distribute regular reports on trade activity settlement status and compliance and serve as a contact for internal or external stakeholders regarding trade support matters.

To be successful in this role, we're seeking the following:

  • Bachelors degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience required.
  • 0 - 2 years of total work experience preferred.
  • Must possess a strong Risk and Control mindset to drive change and automation across process, procedure, controls, and IT architecture.
  • Strong communication/escalation skills.
  • Intellectual curiosity to learn, question, adapt, and pivot.
  • The ability to multi-task and prioritize.
  • Experience using and executing the following systems and processes are a plus : Fidessa, FlexTrade, Bloomberg, Knowledge ETF ( SMA - CR/ RD Process and Custodial Portals, domestic and international as well as Transition Management.
  • Settlements and Clearing and Equity Break and Fail management preferred.
