The Pennsylvania Liquor Control Board (PLCB), Comptroller Office is seeking an inspired scholar to join our department of professionals as a Pennsylvania Government Services Intern. This position provides technical support to the Pennsylvania Liquor Control Board (PLCB), Comptroller Office and audit staff to promote achievement of Internal Audit's mission and service to the PLCB. In this role, you will be providing technical support to a professional audit team concerning audit policy and procedures, computer and data recorder operation, Point-Of-Sale (POS) functions and activities, and store responsibility. Work includes monitoring enterprise risk factors, investigating wherein the financial interest of the PLCB is affected or conditions may represent a potential loss, and performing fieldwork audit activities. Activities may include testing transactions, performing inventories, visually examining records and documentation, and observing events to ensure that PLCB policy, designed internal controls, and laws and regulations are adhered to. As an Intern, you may have the opportunity to prepare and organize required audit documentation necessary to support the conclusions reached and the recommendations made, as well as participate in interviews of PLCB staff to elicit information relevant to assignments.
