Job Overview

The Financial Analyst will play a significant role in the accurate and timely preparation of the internal financial reporting for the KMC Underground segment. The Financial Analyst will work with Komatsu corporate finance, Soft Rock Finance Director, Commercial Accountant Manager, Plant Controllers, and other various finance managers and staff in Milwaukee and Warrendale accounting on accounting, reporting, system, and process improvements.

Key Job Responsibilities
  • Manage Booking, Billing, Backlog (BBB) reporting in the SAP Business, Planning and Consolidation (BPC) system and ensure the accuracy of the data. Drive process improvements with the finance team to enhance the BBB system reconciliation and reporting.
  • Assist the Soft Rock Americas finance team in the monthly, quarterly and annual consolidation process.
  • Responsible for month end closing procedures; profit in inventory (PII), fringe benefits, monthly accruals, intra-company transactions, account reconciliations, fixed assets and journal entries.
  • Assist internal and external auditors with financial and internal control audits.
  • Assist the Soft Rock Americas finance team in the consolidations and reporting of weekly (current) estimates, quarterly outlooks (forecasts) and annual budget.
  • Analyze and review financial results; including variance analysis, reconciling of results, using business trends to build relationship between financial account
Qualifications/Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting.
  • Minimum of 2-5 years of experience in financial/accounting functions.
  • Extensive skills in Microsoft office products - specifically Excel
  • Strong analytical, critical thinking, problem solving, and written/verbal communication skills.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy.
  • SAP and Business Warehouse experience.
  • CPA and/or MBA
  • Power BI
